Cropston Contracts is a family run main contractor based at Kirby Muxloe. We build new houses from your architect's plans, and we carry out work for councils, housing providers and public estates.
Two kinds of work.
Both run the same way. A quotation built from a proper survey, a programme with realistic durations, and one person you can ring about it from the first site visit to the day we hand over.

Single plots through to small residential developments. Built from your architect's drawings to current Building Regulations, and handed over with a ten year structural warranty.

Work for councils, housing providers, schools and estates teams. Delivered against procurement requirements, with CHAS and Constructionline accreditation already in place.
How a job runs.
Most arguments on site start with an optimistic quotation. We spend longer on the survey and give you a number that holds.

Site visit
We walk the site, read the drawings and find the constraints before anything is priced. Access, ground conditions, services, planning conditions.
- STEP 02
Itemised quotation
A written quotation broken down by element, with a build programme, provisional sums marked clearly, and our assumptions set out in plain terms.

Managed build
Directly supervised site teams working alongside local subcontractors and suppliers we have used for years. One point of contact throughout.
- STEP 04
Handover
Building control sign off, warranty registration where it applies, a documented handover, and a defects period we answer the phone during.

We have been building in Leicestershire for over ten years. That is long enough to know which groundworker turns up, which supplier holds a price, and which details cause trouble five years after handover.

Public sector and developer clients want evidence rather than assurances. These are the registrations we hold and can send certificates for.

| ICW new build warranty | Ten year structural warranty cover for new build homes through Independent Consultants Warranty. The policy is issued on completion and transfers with the property. |
| New Homes Ombudsman | Registered under the New Homes Quality framework. Buyers of a new home get an independent route to raise and resolve issues after completion, at no cost to them. |
| Insurance | Public liability, employers' liability and contract works cover are all in place. Certificates and limits are supplied on request at tender stage. |
Where we work.
Most of our work sits around Leicester, Loughborough and the villages between them. If your site is a little outside that, it is still worth asking.
