Plots 8, 9 and 10 taking shape on a Leicester site
Three plots on a twelve house site, each a stage apart. Plot 8 roofed and tiled, plot 9 at first lift, plot 10 with its block and beam floor in and the facing brick starting.
This is a twelve house site in Leicester where we are principal contractor, taking it from groundworks through to handover. The photograph shows plots 8, 9 and 10, which we started in June and which are now each a stage apart.
Where each plot is
Plot 8 is roofed and tiled, with the scaffold still up while the brickwork is finished off. Plot 9 is at first lift, the facing brick and internal blockwork up to the first scaffold lift. Plot 10 has its block and beam ground floor in, with the first courses of facing brick going on above the damp course.
Running the plots a stage apart is deliberate. Each trade finishes on one plot and moves straight to the next, so bricklayers, scaffolders and the roofing gang are never waiting on each other and the site keeps its rhythm.
What happens next
The last two plots follow in the same sequence. We will post progress here as the site moves on, and the same updates go out on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
If you have a site of your own to build out, or a single plot, we would be glad to talk it through.
